Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Junction is a short film that stars Ushna Shah and Affan Waheed. It looks at what happened to a family after Partition and how two lovers dealt with their own separation.
The 16-minute short, which was made by SeePrime, came out on Saturday. “As humans, there are some things we will never fully understand. There’s a lot going on in our lives that we can’t see or even understand. Seeman Naveed, the film’s executive producer, said, “In the grand scheme of things, we all play important roles. However, fate often leads our lives in certain directions, and all we can do in the meantime is have faith.”
Even though the whole movie takes place in a train station, the conversation is what moves the plot forward. It starts with a man named Jawaid (played by Waheed) waiting on a dark, rainy night. Nigar (Shah) comes, and as they talk, the plot slowly comes together. We find out that these two are not just family members who were split up by the Partition; they are also lovers.
“The idea of love has changed and been misunderstood over time. Love, like life, can’t be explained; it can only be felt. However, our false ideas about what love makes us feel more pain than is necessary. “With these short films, we hope to make content that makes us think and makes us change the way we think,” said Naveed.
The movie is directed by Mohsin Talat and written by Radian Shah. It stars the couple and Javed Iqbal, who plays a side character at the train station and tells them when the train will arrive. Ali Hussain and Mahib Bukhari worked together to make it.
