Web Desk (LTN NEWS): In the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, the people of Hawkins will come back for the final battle. The creators of Netflix’s hit show said that the fifth season has begun and that the next season will come out in 2024.
Tuesday, the big news was posted on the official Stranger Writers Twitter account. “Day 1” was written next to a picture of the famous opening scene logo with the number 5 written on a whiteboard.
Variety says that in the last season, the cast will fight to protect the remaining Hawkins residents and try to destroy the Upside Down for good.
The fourth season of Stranger Things was split into two parts. Volume I came out in May and Volume II came out in July. Both were very popular and became the most-watched English-language series on the streaming site. This year’s Emmys gave the show 13 nominations, including one for Best Drama Series.
Stranger Things has a big star cast, like many other Netflix shows. The cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Joe Keery, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Cara Buono, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Eduardo Franco, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Joseph Quinn.
Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn are also executive producers of the show, along with the Duffer brothers.
