Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Fatima Bhutto, her artist brother Zulfikar Ali Bhutto junior, and a lawyer named Menaal Munshey have started an “immediate relief initiative” called Indus Relief 2022 to help the people of Pakistan who have been hurt by the terrible flooding.

Writers, filmmakers, artists, and organizations have joined the initiative and are auctioning off masterclasses, signed books, and tickets to high-profile events around the world. The money raised will be split between organizations that are working to help people on the ground.

Jemima Khan, the ex-wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and a film producer, has also offered to auction off tickets to a private showing of her film “What’s Love Got to Do with It?” in January 2023.

The website’s auction page says, “One lucky winner and 20 of their friends will have a private screening of What’s Love Got To Do With It?”

Tickets to Rupi Kaur’s World Tour, where fans can meet her, are also on the website’s list of featured items.

The Indus Relief website says, “The winner will get to see Rupi Kaur live in London on September 19.”

On Friday, novelist Mohsin Hamid taught a writing class called “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” where he gave tips on how to write. When people signed up for the masterclass, they helped the fund raise about £5,254, which is more than Rs1.3 million.

The next person to give her masterclass is the British-Pakistani author Kamila Shamsie.
