Galle (LTN NEWS): During the second day of the test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, remained undefeated.
In Pakistan’s epic chase of 508, skipper Babar Azam remained undefeated on day five of the second test, but spinner Prabath Jayasuriya got two wickets to enable Sri Lanka to inch closer to winning the match. The second test was played on Thursday.
At the stroke of lunch in Galle, Jayasuriya dismissed Agha Salman for four, which meant that Pakistan needed 320 to win the match.
Alternatively, Pakistan could wait out the remaining two sessions for a draw and a 1-0 lead in the series.
After four wickets were taken in the morning session, the tourists’ score stood at 188 for 5, with Azam still at the crease with a score of 76.
