No one should worry about world-class Babar’s form: Shadab Khan

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Pakistan’s vice-captain, Shadab Khan, had an exciting day against the Netherlands on Sunday. He spun a web around the Dutch batters, making it hard for them to hit the ball. Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, was eager to return to their ICC T20 World Cup campaign when they played the Netherlands at Optus stadium in Perth. They had lost their first two Super 12 games.

In match 29 of the T20 World Cup, Shadab became the bowler of choice for the Green Army. The ace spinner got rid of Max ODowd, Colin Ackermann, and Tom Cooper as Pakistan brought the Netherlands’ score down to 91-9 in 20 overs. Shadab got three Dutch outs and let them score 22 runs. Babar is one of the best batters in all formats, but he has struggled in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup. Shadab, who has come out in support of Pakistan’s captain, thinks Babar will be quiet after one good hit.

“There’s no doubt that he’s a world-class player, but he’s also a person. He makes mistakes from time to time, but he is our leader and our best captain. He helped us, so now we have to help him. It’s only three games, and he’s a world-class player, so no one should worry about his form “Shadab said. At the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s captain Babar scored eight runs in three turns.

“He only needs one more shot to get back to his old self. He scored runs, just like Rizwan does today. So let’s hope that Babar scores in the next game.
