Mohammad Hasnain replace Shaheen in national squad: Asia Cup

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): 22-year-old young fast bowler Muhammad Hasnain has been included in the national squad for the ACCT Twenty20 Asia Cup in place of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is suffering from a knee injury.

The event to be played in the United Arab Emirates will continue from August 27 to September 11.

Muhammad Hasnain has so far taken 17 wickets while representing Pakistan in 18 T20 International matches. Mohammad Hasnain, who is in the UK to play The Hundreds, will join the national T20 squad in Dubai.

On the other hand, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Usman Qadir will leave Pakistan on Tuesday morning and join the squad in Dubai.

He will replace Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood in the 16-member squad announced for the Netherlands tour.

Pakistan will play its first match in the tournament on August 28 against India.

The national cricket team will play their second match in Sharjah on Friday, September 2 against the qualifiers, the Super Four matches will be played from September 3 to 9.
