Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Pakistan’s vice-captain, Shadab Khan, has put his trust in Babar Azam’s leadership ahead of the tri-series with Bangladesh and New Zealand and the T20 World Cup in 2022.
The all-rounder wrote in a column posted on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) website that players are looking forward to getting even with the captain in the upcoming games.
“In my last column, I talked about how Babar Azam led. This man is amazing. The more I play with him, the more I learn about him and the more I like him.”
The batter, 24 years old, also wrote about how Azam kept going even though he was the team leader.
“This 27-year-old leader, who has only been in charge for a short time, has dealt with constant pressure and sometimes unfair criticism while making sure his own performance doesn’t go down. He has been a rock for his players and given them his full support.”

“This is what makes a leader, how you earn the respect of your players, and how you build your team,” he wrote.
Shadab also said Babar had put his full weight behind every team member, so now it’s up to the team to do its job.
“We need to show that Babar was right to have faith in our skills, credentials, and talent. If we want our captain to stand tall and be proud of us, we have to show what we are capable of.”
The vice-captain said that the captain is giving the team everything we need to make our mark and show our authority on the international level. “The time has come for us to step up, it’s as simple as that.”
“I strongly agree with Babar and think we have everything we need to do well in New Zealand and Australia. We just need a few performances that boost our confidence and morale, and everything will fall into place “He put words on paper.
Currently, the Pakistan team is in New Zealand to play in a tri-nation series with the host country and Bangladesh.
The Green Shirts’ first match in the tri-nation series will be on October 7 against Bangladesh.
