Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Asim Azhar has been putting out song after song this year, but the latest versions of “Habibi” and “Jo Tu Na Mila” might be our new favorite, and not just because they were done by Azhar. The new song was written by Arshman Naeem, a young fan who is also a very good singer.
On Sunday, Azhar posted a clip of Naeem singing one of his songs in June, along with the comments under the original video where he was mentioned. The clip then changed to one of them together in a music studio, where they announced that they would be working together. Azhar put the mashup on his YouTube channel today, and it’s already at the top of our playlists.
In the video’s description, Azhar wrote, “This is the collaboration you wanted.”
He called Naeem an “internet sensation.”
Before the song came out, Azhar posted a video about it on Twitter and wrote, “Talent is Talent. We just try to move it along. We shall meet soon.”
Naeem has posted covers of songs by Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the master of Qawwali, and popular Bollywood songs on his Instagram.
Over 60,000 people have watched the new music video on YouTube in the five hours since it came out.
