Web Desk(LTN News): In interbank trade on Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee strengthened by 17 paisas versus the US dollar and ended the day at Rs 217.79 as opposed to Rs 217.96 the day before. The purchasing and selling rates of dollars in the open market were reported at Rs 216.5 and Rs 218.5, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
Compared to the previous day’s closing price of Rs 211.53, the price of one Euro dropped by Rs 0.26 to end the day at Rs 211.27. The exchange rate of the British pound, which was traded at Rs 240.02 as opposed to its previous close of Rs 241.33, decreased by Rs 1.31, while the Japanese stayed steady to conclude at Rs1.49.The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 05 paise each to close at Rs 59.29 and Rs 57.93 respectively.
