Web Desk (LTN NEWS): A Hainan Airlines charter plane with 163 Pakistani businesspeople on board has landed at Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport. This has opened a new way for China and Pakistan to trade, even though there is an epidemic going on in both countries.
Li Yiman, General Manager of Zhejiang Eman Supply Chain Management Company and Pakistan’s Honorable Investment Councillor, said that this charter flight makes it very easy for Pakistani businessmen to get back to Yiwu.
“The plane tickets were given at cost, and the costs of staying in quarantine after landing were paid for by the government.” Also, the direct flight to Hangzhou and Yiwu cuts the time spent in quarantine by a lot, according to China Economic Net (CEN).
KK Afridi, who is applying to be the head of the proposed Yiwu Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, has lived in Yiwu for 15 years and put in a lot of work to make sure this charter flight went smoothly.
He called this charter flight a “historically friendly flight” and said that “customers from Pakistan are thrilled to have easy access to cheap tickets to keep doing business in China, especially in the Yiwu market, and to plan for the future.” I hope that in the future, the Yiwu government can do more for our Pakistani brothers.”
Pakistani businesspeople who took this charter flight to Yiwu have said how much they love and look forward to the city.
They said that Yiwu market is the largest small-goods distribution center in the world. It draws dealers from all over the world and is an important place for Pakistani goods to reach China and the rest of the world. They also came to use Yiwu as an international trade hub to increase Pakistan’s exports.
“Yiwu is another place I call home. The Yiwu municipal government and Zhejiang Eman Logistics did a great job setting up this charter flight. Asif, a Pakistani businessman who had just flown from Islamabad to Yiwu on a chartered plane, said with great excitement, “I will work harder and contribute to economic and trade cooperation between China and Pakistan.”
It is known that Yiwu will continue to set up business charter flights to help foreign businesspeople return to Yiwu and promote international trade.
