TikTok can be considered a social app but what does our new generation make it?
The new generation which we can also say Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha. Gen-Z was born from 1995-2009 and Gen-Alpha was born from 2010-2024. TikTok made the new generation a wholesome mixture of everything. A person who is using the TikTok platform can be called a TikTok.
The main thing is a person who calls herself/himself an influencer does not understand her/his responsibilities. They are the people who influence everyone nowadays. They are using the platform just to make challenges to each other that can be dangerous and we people fanaticize their actions.
TikTok must only be used to raise awareness, provide information, and to only give opportunities to hard-working persons. The new generation is showing their online presence through multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok which make them limitless. It’s not bad to be limitless in good things but influencing others through your actions can prove harmful to society.
TikTok and Politics
Now if we compare our politics and this new era what things have changed since the arrival of social platforms, especially TikTok? It’s their online presence that is making people aware but on the other hand, it has some bad effects also.
We see everyday violation videos, sensitive content, etc. These things are becoming common. We need to control and play our role in society. Influencers should understand their responsibilities toward society.
Raising awareness on other social platforms can be controlled. In previous days, TikTok made a step by creating awareness videos through celebrities. As a normal person, your role towards this new generation is to tell them what’s good and what can harm them.
There are a lot of incidents and accidents that happen through TikTok. Even when it launches in Pakistan, some people take it as an opportunity but some people destroyed it. We can look into many examples one of the main incidents that happened on our own Independence Day can be referred to as the ‘Minar-i-Pakistan Incident’.
We cannot purely give any answer or any opinion on this thing as this is very sensitive content to talk about but what happens is TikTok anyhow related to that as you all know.
TikTok not a safe platform
Yesterday, it was revealed that some alleged cyber attackers hack some accounts of TikTok. There is a possibility of data leakage of more than 1 billion people. It means the privacy of every person on TikTok is at risk. This is serious!
It claimed that the hackers have access to 34GB of data already.
So, in the end, just be safe and don’t take any challenges if you are using TikTok. Use the app with the proper measures of limits and don’t allow this to destroy your life and privacy.
