Web Desk (LTN NEWS): TikTok wants to give its users mini-games that can be played inside the app and found through the videos of the creators. Just a few weeks ago, Vodoo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Aim Lab, and Lotum were some of the partners who helped launch the new gaming policy.
Tech Crunch says that the news came right after TikTok decided to expand into HTML5 gaming after testing an exclusive game called “Disco Loco 3D” with gaming giant Zynga last November.
The company wants to make casual games for mobile devices that will be sold in the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
When you post a video to the platform and choose to add a link to a variety of experiences like Buzzfeed Recipes and Rotten Tomato Ratings for a movie using TikTok Jump, you can find the mini-games. Games will be in the same section before the video is finally published.
They will show up as an anchor above the user’s name on the video, so viewers can click on it and play the game.
Basketball FRVR by FRVR, Tap the Difference by Lotum, Peek a Who by Nitro, Pride Run by Voodoo, Influencer Run by Voodoo, Space Destroyer by Nitro, and Mr. Aim Lab’s Nightmare by Nitro are some of the games that TikTok will be releasing (by Aim Labs).
Even though TikTok hasn’t confirmed the news about its mobile gaming pilot, a company representative did say that the company had started testing in different markets around the world a few weeks ago. At the moment, games aren’t making money through ads or in-app purchases, but the pilot wants to see how the community interacts with the games and how much content they make about them.
