WebDesk (LTN NEWS): The upcoming movie Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor has drawn a lot of attention lately thanks to its song “Kesariya,” which used the often-mocked phrase “love storiyan,” as well as for ripping off Pakistani band Call’s “Laree Chootee.” Bhatt responded to the criticism when promoting her movie Darlings, calling it “wonderful” that two words even garnered attention and asserting that their song had supplanted Ali Sethi and Shae Gill’s “Pasoori.”

The Darlings actors, Shefali Shah, Bhatt, Vijay Varma, and OTT film director Jasmeet K. Reen spoke on a panel with Miss Malini on Wednesday to discuss their future releases.

Bhatt was also questioned over criticism of “Kesariya” for using the phrase “love storiyan.”

“I don’t believe that the song is causing any problems for individuals. I believe it’s fantastic. I find it lovely that even two words in a song can be given so much attention. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor asserted, “I believe there was so much anticipation for the song that those who didn’t like those two phrases just wanted the song to be so beautiful.

She thinks it’s fine even though other people don’t like it. She claimed that she asked Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji if he could believe that the song had received a lot of attention and had gathered more views than the movie’s trailer.

“Like we dethroned, which I want to say with great pride, ‘Pasoori,’ one of my favorite songs, which had held the top spot for 85 days while ‘Kesariya’ shot straight to the top. I want to shout this from the rooftops with pride because, at the end of the day, any kind of attention—good or bad—to a creative unit adds to people learning more about the upcoming movie and just shows how much they care.

The expecting mother is preparing for the release of Darlings and Brahmastra this year. The first movie, which will be released on August 5, is being made by Gaurav Verma, Bhatt, and Gauri Khan under their Red Chillies Entertainment banner. The other movie, in which Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir Kapoor co-star, will hit theaters on September 9.
