Islamabad (LTN NEWS): In a case that has been going on for more than seven years, the Election Commission of Pakistan ruled on Tuesday that the PTI did, in fact, get money from sources that aren’t allowed.

The ECP has decided that the PTI “knowingly received and accepted” donations from 351 foreign companies and 34 foreign nationals through two limited liability companies (LLCs) based in the US, which is against Pakistani law, as well as from other illegal sources in Canada, the UK, and other countries.

Here is a list of funding sources that the ECP judgment says can’t be used.

LLCs in the US

According to the ECP judgment, between May 2013 and April 2013, the PTI got $549,000 from one of its LLCs in the US, 6160. About $70,960 of this came from foreign people and companies, which is against the law.

The PTI got and accepted donations worth $1,976,500 from another US-based LLC called 5975. These donations came from 13 foreigners and 231 US-based companies.

Funds from Canada
