Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Atta Tarar, filed an application in the court against the August 13 meeting of Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
Atta Tarar filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, declaring the Tehreek-e-Insaf’s meeting at the hockey stadium a violation of the constitution.
It has been stated in the petition that the stadium is not to be used for political purposes while contacting the concerned authorities to stop the rally but no action was taken.
Atta Tarar has requested to suspend the permission of the meeting until the final decision on the application.
It should be remembered that for PTI’s August 13 rally, turf worth crores of rupees was removed from the hockey stadium in Lahore with a blade.
Sports Minister Punjab Taimur Masood had claimed that the turf had been installed for 10-12 years, and the turf was to be shifted to Sargodha.
On the other hand, the Hockey Federation said that the old turf should have been removed when the new turf came
