Web Desk (LTNNEWS): Khaleej Times said that all Emirates passenger flights to Pakistan are giving free cargo space to groups based at International Humanitarian City (IHC) so that they can help flood victims in the country.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, said, “Emirates has strong ties to Pakistan and is committed to the country.”

Floods in Pakistan have forced millions of people to leave their homes, so an airbridge has been set up between Dubai and Pakistan to get equipment and food to them.

The goods will be sent straight to five airports in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot.

The airline plans 53 flights a week to take people to Pakistan. Because of this, the recent offer could make it easier to move goods.

Any organizations at the IHC that want to use the empty space on the planes can contact Emirates

He said that the UAE’s president, vice president, and the prime minister had sent urgent aid to Pakistan and told businesses all over the UAE to do what they could to help.

Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Supervision of IHC said that “they were thankful that the airline stood by the IHC community during these hard times. Troubled times are a true test of character,” he said.
