Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday that England will go to Pakistan in September for the first time in 17 years. They will play three Twenty20 matches and seven Test matches.
Last year, England pulled out of a tour of Pakistan soon after New Zealand pulled out of a tour of the same South Asian country because of safety concerns.
In the first part of their tour, which starts on September 20, England will play seven Twenty20 Internationals in Karachi and Lahore.
PCB said in a statement that after the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia, England will come back to play three Tests in December.
“We showed our event planning and operational skills in the very successful series against Australia in March and April, and I am confident we will be able to do the same when England visits us for the first time since 2005,” said Zakir Khan, PCB Director of International Cricket.
