Web Desk (LTN NEWS): King Charles III latest statement came out, the day before Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. He said that he was “moved beyond measure” by the outpouring of public sympathy after his mother died.
King Charles said that he and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, were “so deeply touched” by messages of sympathy and support from people in Britain and all over the world.
On Sunday, Queen Elizabeth was honoured with a minute of silence before her last day on Monday.
In a statement, he said, “We were moved beyond measure by everyone who took the time to come and honour the lifelong service of my dear mother, The late Queen.”

“As we all get ready to say our final goodbyes, I just wanted to take this chance to thank all the many people who have helped and comforted my family and me during this sad time.”
Since Wednesday night, Queen Elizabeth’s body has been on display on a catafalque in London’s historic Westminster Hall.
The late monarch’s casket was visited by many important people, including US President Joe Biden and Japan’s Emperor Naruhito. Biden crossed himself and touched his heart as he stood on a gallery in the mediaeval hall.
King Harald V of Norway, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, King Letsie III of Lesotho, and Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg were among the other people who came to pay their respects. (Web Desk/AFP)
