Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Thursday, the famous tennis player wrote a long note to talk about his plans for retirement. Federer, a former World No. 1, also confirmed that he will keep playing tennis even though the upcoming Laver Cup will be his last ATP tournament. Federer has had trouble getting into major tournaments for the past three years, even though he is already in the last part of his legendary tennis career. Federer has won a lot of trophies and played more than 1500 matches over the course of 24 years.

The best thing tennis has given me over the years is without a doubt the people I’ve met: my friends, my rivals, and most of all, the fans who give the sport its life. “I have some news to tell you all today,” Federer said in an emotional statement that was posted to Twitter.

Roger Federer has said that the Laver Cup, which will be held at the O2 Arena in London in 2022, will be his last professional tennis match. He will be on Team Europe for the tournament. The 20-time Grand Slam singles champion, on the other hand, is adamant that he will still be a familiar face on the tennis circuit, though he isn’t sure yet in what way.

Roger Federer has told his fans that he won’t be “a ghost” and that he will still be a part of the tennis world even though he is about to stop playing.
