Quetta (LTN NEWS): Balochistan is still getting help after being hit by floods.

A statement from the Directorate of Public Relations said that relief operations continued on Friday in the areas of Balochistan that were hit by flooding. Officials brought supplies to the people who were affected and evacuated them when necessary.

The statement also said that so far, the provincial government’s helicopter has brought 1,600 kg of food, 250 kg of medicine, and 300 liters of water to flood victims in the Gajan area of the Jhal Magsi district.

“A very sick patient and his caretaker were flown by helicopter to Quetta.” It also said that air-based relief efforts will continue in other places that have been hit.

One of the worst places in Balochistan is the Jhal Magsi district. Lasbela, Khuzdar, and Bolan have also been hit hard by the heavy rains and floods that have caused a lot of damage in the area. Dozens of villages have been flooded, and roads and dams have been destroyed.

Over 30 people have died in rain-related accidents in the province in the last three days, bringing the total number of deaths during the monsoon rains to 111.

In disaster-stricken districts of the province, the provincial government, district administration, PDMA, NDMA, Army, and Frontier Corps were all working to save lives and help people.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also sent tents, medicines, and other supplies to help those who have been affected by the floods.

But the scale of the disaster is so big that the rescue efforts in the flood-hit areas don’t seem to be enough. A lot of people are still waiting to be saved.
