8 more people die bringing death toll to 278: Balochistan

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Rainfall and flooding that have never happened before have been hitting Balochistan for more than three months. In the last 24 hours, 8 more people have died in the province, bringing the total number of deaths to 278.

Balochistan’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said in a report that at least eight people have died in rain-related accidents in the last 24 hours.

There are six men and two women who have died. The report says that the most recent deaths took place in the Jhal Magsi district.

Based on data from the PDMA, there have been 278 deaths in the province since June 1. The report says that among the dead were 83 children, 63 women, and 132 men.

At least 172 people were hurt in accidents caused by the rain in the province. In Balochistan, where there was a lot of flooding and rain, 64,385 homes were damaged. Also, flooding has killed more than 270,444 animals.

The PDMA report says that so far, crops on 200,000 acres of land have been damaged. In the province, 22 bridges were washed away by the flash floods. Roads that stretch for 2,200 kilometers have also been badly damaged.
