PM Shehbaz to meet head of IMF on Sep 21

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): During his trip to New York, United States, to attend the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to meet with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, and the President of the World Bank, David Malpass, according to a statement from the PM Office on Monday.

After today’s state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II in London, United Kingdom, the prime minister will go to New York. On September 23, PM Shehbaz will give a speech at the UN session.

During his trip to New York, before he gives his speech, PM Shehbaz will, among other things, meet with the leaders of other countries at a high level. On September 20, the premier will also go to a party put on by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

PM Shehbaz will also meet with Presidents Emmanuel Macron of France, Karl Nehammer of Austria, and Pedro Sánchez of Spain on the same day. The prime minister will also meet with Charles Michel, who is the head of the Council of the European Union.

The Global Food Security Conference is being put on by Senegal’s President Macky Sall, who is also the chair of the African Union. The PM will be there.

On September 21, the prime minister will meet with the head of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, and the head of the World Bank, David Malpass. He will also go to a dinner that Vice President Joe Biden is throwing.

On September 21, there will also be meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi. The president and his wife will have lunch with the prime minister on the same day.

PM will meet with Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, on September 22. His meeting with the UN Secretary-General will take place in the office of the UN Secretary-General at the UN headquarters.

In New York, there are also plans to meet with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
