Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Saturday, India called out Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for “making false accusations against India” during his speech to the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). In a strong message, Mojito Vinita, the first secretary of the Indian Mission to the UN, slammed Pakistan for giving shelter to the terrorists who carried out the terrible 26/11 Mumbai attack and accused it of funding terrorism across borders.

“It’s a shame that the Pakistani prime minister chose this assembly to say false things about India. He did this to hide wrongdoing in his own country and to defend actions against India, said Mojito Vinita, speaking for India’s right of reply.

Sharif said, “We want peace with all of our neighbors.” India’s response was, “A country that says it wants peace with its neighbors wouldn’t support cross-border terrorism or hide the people who planned the horrible Mumbai terrorist attack, only revealing their existence when the international community put pressure on it to do so.”

“The desire for peace, security, and progress in the Indian subcontinent will definitely come true when cross-border terrorism stops when governments tell the international community and their own people the truth when minorities are not persecuted, and, last but not least, when we recognize these facts in front of this Assembly,” he said in his closing speech.
