Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Teenage all-rounder Naseem Shah has been wowing cricket fans all over the world with his skills. Now, he is showing that his heart is just as big as his sixes. NaseemShah is raising money for flood relief by auctioning off the bat he used to hit two sixes and win the Asia Cup match against Afghanistan.
On Thursday, PCB shared a video of Shah and Muhammad Hasnain saying that the bat will be auctioned off for a good cause.
Hasnain said in the short video clip, “By now you know about Naseem’s Shah Inning, which he played brilliantly and led Pakistan to victory by repeating the time Javed Miandad hit a sixer, but this time it was our Naseem, our shehzada, our tiger. So this bat he used last night was mine, and now I’m giving it to him so he can do whatever he wants with it.
Naseem Shah thanked Hasnain for the bat and said that he would like to put it up for auction. He said that half of the money will go to help the people in Pakistan who have been hurt by floods.
Singer Uzair Jaswal stopped by the comments section and said he is “proud” of the boys.
After the win against Afghanistan, the cricket board posted a video of two young players explaining how they switched bats during the game.
Hasnain said that when Naseem Shah stepped up to bat, he asked to use Hasnain’s bat. Hasnain told him that if he got a single, he had to give the bat back to him. In fact, he did not hit a single. Instead, he hit two sixes that helped the Pakistan team win the game.
Naseem Shah was known for how well he could bowl, but he showed everyone during the game that he can do everything.
Captain Babar Azam, teammate and man of the match Shadab Khan, and former cricketer Younus Khan all liked him. Shadab Khan said that after Miandad and Shahid Afridi, everyone will remember Shah’s sixes.
