Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, asked on Thursday if he was old enough to only play Tests and ODIs.
At a press conference before the team left for a three-match ODI series in the Netherlands, Babar Azam said in response to a question, “kia main boorha hogaya hon?”
The Pakistan captain said that he had never thought about only playing two types of cricket.
In response to another question, he said that every match between India and Pakistan puts pressure on the players.
“We always try to play it like a normal match, but yes, there is definitely different pressure on us,” the Pakistan captain added.
From August 16–21, Pakistan will play the ODI series in Amsterdam. After that, they will go straight to the ACC T20 Asia Cup.
The Pakistani captain said, “There is pressure, but we tried to stay calm at the T20 World Cup 2021 and not do the same thing that made us feel pressured before.”
When asked about possible changes to the Asia Cup team, the captain said that the players had been chosen with the team’s “best” interests in mind.
