Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the cost of electricity for electricity distribution companies (DISCOs) by Rs 9.90 per unit.
According to the notification issued by Nepra, an increase of Rs 9.90 paise per unit has been approved in the monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for June.
The notification said that the Central Power Purchasing Agency Guarantee (CPPAG) had requested an increase of Rs 9.91 paise per unit, the fuel charges adjustment of May 1. Consumers were charged Rs 7.91 paisa only for one month.
Nepra says June FCA will be charged Rs 99 paise more in August than May, June monthly fuel charges adjustment will be applicable only on August bills.
According to the notification, this increase will not be applicable to electric consumers.
