Web Desk (LTN NEWS): PTI Chairman Imran Khan finally showed up before the Islamabad Police’s joint investigation team (JIT) in a terror case. He is accused of threatening Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry during a public rally in Islamabad on August 20.

Under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Imran Khan was charged with terrorism on August 20 for making controversial comments about the session’s judge and the senior police officer.

Before, PTI leader Imran Khan was avoiding the JIT, even though the JIT had sent him a third notice to show up so they could look into the terrorism charges against him.

On September 12, ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan was told by prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi that the PTI chairman had not yet joined the investigation.

During the proceedings, ATC judge told the prosecution and Khan’s lawyer to decide where and when to join the investigation. The judge also extended Khan’s temporary bail until September 20.

Imran Khan, on the other hand, spoke to the JIT at the SSP office in Islamabad and recorded it there.

After meeting with the JIT, Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, criticized the coalition government for not being able to handle the economic crisis. He said, “Pakistan is following in the footsteps of Sri Lanka.”

He said that the only way out of the economic crisis is through free and fair elections. Imran Khan said that the government was wrong to play politics during the floods and to bother the donors to his party.

Khan said, “They’re trying to crash my party,” and he warned that the government couldn’t stand up to his call for a protest.

He said that the only thing they could talk to the government about is free and fair elections.

Imran said that the case has become a joke to the whole world in response to a question about his appearance before the JIT.

“I went to the JIT even though I knew it was a joke,” he said.
