Islamabad (LTN NEWS): On Sunday, the federal government cut the price of petrol by Rs3.05 and raised the price of diesel by Rs8.95 for the next two weeks.
From August 1, 2022, the new prices will be in place.
In its notice, the Finance Division said that because of changes in the price of oil on the international market and in the exchange rate, the government has decided to change the prices of petroleum products so that consumers can feel the effects.
As a result of the price changes, a litre of petrol will now cost Rs227.19. Previously, a litre of petrol cost Rs230.34.
In the meantime, the price of high-speed diesel has gone up by Rs8.95 per litre, making the new price Rs244.95 per litre.
On the other hand, kerosene oil, which used to cost Rs196.45 per litre, will now cost Rs201.07 per litre, which is a rise of Rs4.62.
Light diesel oil saw a small drop of Rs0.12, which means that it will now cost Rs191.32 per litre instead of Rs191.44 per litre.
