Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The PTI had said before that Gill was taken by men not wearing uniforms. The CCTV tape of Shahbaz Gill’s arrest has been found, and it shows that what PTI leaders said about Gill’s arrest was not true.

A spokesperson for the Islamabad police said on August 9 that senior PTI leader and party chairman Imran Khan’s aide Shahbaz Gill was arrested for inciting the public against state institutions. “Shahbaz Gill has been arrested for saying bad things about the government and trying to get people to rebel,” a police spokesperson said.

The PTI had said before that men in plain clothes took Gill away. But in the video, you can see police officers in uniform.

On the videotape, security guards can be seen telling Gill to get out of a car. But when he didn’t do what they told him to do, they broke the car window with a gun.

Later, Gill is seen getting out of his car, which is different from what PTI said, which was that he was dragged and tortured. He is seen walking up to the police car and sitting in it himself.

At the time of his arrest, uniformed police officers from Islamabad were there. In the CCTV footage, you can also see a police van.

In the same way, Gill’s driver’s claims that he was tortured were shown to be false. Gill’s driver was not tortured, as the CCTV video shows.

After Gill was taken away, the driver was seen leaving the car by the side of the road.

There is a contradiction in what Gill’s driver said about what happened. First, as he stood next to the car, he tried to show a cut on his neck. In the meantime, his hand wasn’t hurt in any way.

Soon after the accident, the driver changed his story. Even though he had said before that the butt of a Kalashnikov shot him in the neck, he forgot about it.

He also didn’t say why he wrapped his hand in a bandage.
