Wednesday, the Supreme Court turned down a request from the government to stop the PTI’s long march to the federal capital right away.

During the hearing of the government’s request to bring contempt charges against former PM Imran Khan, the additional attorney-general of Pakistan asked the top court to stop the PTI from marching to Islamabad.
In a petition filed by the interior ministry on behalf of the government, it was said that the PTI chair was making plans to march toward Islamabad, which was against the court’s order.
Referring to the highest court orders, the government said that the SC had only allowed Khan to hold peaceful protests, but the PTI chair has been talking about an “invasion.”
