Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The party led by Imran Khan will now hold a power show on August 13 at Lahore’s Hockey Ground. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) moved its power show from the Parade Ground in Islamabad to the Lahore Hockey Stadium on August 13. This was announced by the party’s social media coordinator, Azhar Mashwani, just hours after the TLP announced its Nazriya Pakistan March and Conference at Faizabad.
In a statement, TLP Information Secretary Muhammad Amjad Rizvi said that the party had asked for permission to hold a public event at Islamabad’s Parade Ground, but did not get it.
Rizvi said that Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah let PTI hold a jalsa at the site, but not his party. He also said that his party would now gather workers at Faizabad on August 13 for the same purpose.
The PTI’s official Twitter account asked, “Is it just a coincidence or the work of conspirators that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf decided to hold a meeting in Rawalpindi-Islamabad between August 13 and 14, but TLP announced to shut down Faizabad?”
“The PTI and the proud Pakistanis of Lahore will celebrate the 75th Independence Day in a big way at Hockey Stadium Lahore on the night of August 13 and the morning of August 14,” he said, adding that former Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend and speak at this event.
The change of location was decided at a meeting of the PTI Political Committee, which was led by Chairman Imran Khan and attended by the top leaders of the party.
At the meeting, the PTI’s plan to hold the rally in Islamabad on August 13 was talked about. It was thought about holding the rally in Rawalpindi or Lahore.
Imran agreed to move the rally from Islamabad to Lahore, so it was decided that the rally would be held at Lahore Hockey Ground on August 13.
Sources say that the decision was made because it was possible that the government in Islamabad would make problems.
On the other hand, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the traditional Independence Day rally would be held outside Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi on the night of August 13. At 12:01 am, fireworks will go off, and Imran Khan’s speech will also be shown on the screen.
Mashwani said this about the foreign plot: “For twenty years, Jews and Indian agents spread lies about Imran Khan. And today, the same plotters got rid of Imran Khan’s government because Imran Khan didn’t want to have good relations with Israel and India until Palestine and Kashmir were solved.
He said, “Yes, Allah is Honest… reveals the truth.”
On Sunday, the head of the PTI said that he would talk about a plan to fight fascism at the rally on August 13.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah told reporters on Monday that the PTI would get the worst consequences if it used violence or blackmail to show its power.
