Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was happy that the United Arab Emirates said they would invest $1 billion in different economic and investment sectors in Pakistan.

During a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, he talked about these ideas.

Last week, the state news agency of the UAE, WAM, said that the kingdom planned to invest $1 billion in companies in different sectors of Pakistan.

The move is likely to improve the mood of investors in the country, which has been hurt by a falling rupee and dwindling foreign exchange reserves.

In a tweet earlier on Sunday, the prime minister thanked the president of the UAE for the money that the country was going to put into different parts of Pakistan.

During his talk with the president of the UAE today, PM Shehbaz talked about how much the Gulf country has helped Pakistan over the years and thanked him for it.

The PM Office said in a statement that the two leaders talked about things that were important to both of them.

They reaffirmed the close friendship between the two countries and agreed to work together to improve bilateral cooperation in many areas.

The prime minister expressed his sadness over the damage done by the recent floods in the Emirates, which took the lives of many people, including Pakistani citizens.

He also told the Emirati brothers that he felt very sorry for them.

The president of the UAE also expressed his deep sorrow for the people who died in the floods in Pakistan and the army members who died in the recent helicopter crash.

Recalling the decisions made during the premier’s trip to the UAE in April 2022, the two leaders went over the progress and decided to strengthen trade and economic ties even more, with a focus on speeding up cooperation and building partnerships in the areas of investments, energy and infrastructure.
