Islamabad (LTN NEWS): PDM requests that the ECP disclose its decision on the case involving foreign money, or else it will hold a sit-in.
Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the PML-N, said during a press conference on Thursday that the coalition government is familiar with how to engage in the same kind of politics as the PTI, in the event that the PTI intends to use political strategies in order to convince individuals to switch party positions.
Her remarks occurred after a meeting of the chiefs of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), which was called to plan out a future strategy after the coalition parties suffered a significant defeat in Punjab.
Pervez Elahi, who is endorsed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, was reinstated as Chief Minister of Punjab on Tuesday by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. At the same time, PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz was removed from office. Hamza Shahbaz’s party is the most important stakeholder in the alliance.
The leader of the PML-N criticised the judiciary and claimed that the judgement was not in favour of assembling a full court because it was “injustice and a one-sided decision.”

Maryam said that the court had given over 25 of our members to Imran Khan, which included 10 members of the PML-Q. “With this judgement, the judicial system came to an end.”

Maryam remarked that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should break its silence on the PTI’s foreign funding case or else the coalition parties will hold a sit-in in front of the ECP’s headquarters. She was demanding that the commission publish the judgement on the matter.
“We are requesting that the ECP come to a decision as quickly as feasible about the case involving the foreign funding. It has been demonstrated without a reasonable doubt that Imran Khan has accepted financial support from both Indians and Israelis “the PML-N vice president elaborated further.
Maryam further mentioned that the head of the PTI was the one who elected the head of the electoral commission. Khan used to have high respect for the ECP, but now he is trying to put pressure on the commission by pointing the finger at it.
The PDM meeting will carry on for a couple more days.
On the other hand, the leader of the PDM, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, emphasised that the judgement on the case involving the foreign money should be revealed as soon as possible, despite the fact that it has been postponed for the past eight years. He continued by saying, “It has been demonstrated that the PTI concealed the specifics of their accounts from the ECP.”
Fazl stated, in reference to the meeting of the PDM, that it is going to continue for a few more days, and that a joint approach would be developed by taking into consideration the perspectives of all political parties that are involved.
The leader of the JUI-F stated that it would be difficult for the coalition administration to salvage the country’s reputation. In addition to this, he voiced his disapproval of the decision made by the Supreme Court to appoint Elahi as the new chief minister, stating that it has led to an impasse in the nation that will ultimately result in a state of economic unrest.
