Web Desk (LTN NEWS): After the ECP’s decision, Nawaz calls on the government to “take action against Imran right away.”

Says the leader of the PML-N, there is no doubt that the head of the PTI was pushing a foreign agenda in the country.

PML-N supremo After the ECP’s decision in the PTI funding case, Nawaz Sharif asked the coalition government led by his younger brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to “immediately” take legal action against former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“After this [ECP] report, there is no question that [Imran Khan] was pushing the foreign agenda in the country,” he told reporters in London.

Nawaz, a three-time former prime minister who has lived in London since November 2019 for medical reasons, said that Imran had asked for the chief election commissioner’s resignation because the PTI chairman knew that he had committed “the country’s biggest robbery.”

“Fake documents were used to say that Imran Khan was Sadiq [truthful] and Ameen [righteous],” he said.

When he was kicked out of office in 2017, the former prime minister said that his government was moving the country forward, but that Imran’s government “destroyed the economy and rolled back all gains.”

He also criticized former apex court judges who ruled against him in the famous Panama Papers case. He said that former chief justice Saqib Nisar and others will also be held responsible for bringing the country to this point.

Referring to his conviction by the country’s highest court, Nawaz said that it was the first time in the country’s history that a prime minister was removed from office “for not getting paid by his son.”

“Imran Khan’s mischief (fitna) must stop for good. Political parties should also do their part. “After four years of destruction, it’s getting harder to rebuild Pakistan,” he said.
