PTI to be given an opportunity to explain, sources

Islamabad (LTN NEWS): PTI will be given an opportunity to explain after the verdict in the foreign funding case.

Sources say that if the party brings documents in its favor, the Election Commission can withdraw the decision, after the show cause notice is issued, the response has to be given within 7 to 14 days.

According to sources, the Election Commission will send the reference to the federal government after the show-cause notice process is completed.

According to sources, in case of foreign funding, the federal government will send the declaration of dissolution of the party to the Supreme Court, after which the Supreme Court has the final authority to approve or reject the declaration of dissolution of the party.

It should be noted that the Election Commission yesterday gave the verdict in the PTI prohibited funding case, according to which the prohibited funding of Tehreek-e-Insaf has been proved.

The decision has said that why their prohibited funds should not be confiscated, the Election Commission office should also initiate the rest of the process according to the law, and a copy of the decision is issued to the federal government.
