Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif set up the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund” to help flood victims. He also made an emotional plea to philanthropists and other wealthy people to help flood victims with their donations.
Donations for the flood victims can be put in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund 2022, Account No. G-12164.
The prime minister said that the country’s people had already set an example for the rest of the world by giving a lot of money to help people after the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 floods.
He said it was important to have a suck-like attitude.
The prime minister said that the historic rainfall caused a huge disaster that hit Balochistan province hard and caused a lot of damage that has never been seen before.
He said that Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab provinces were hit hard and that the government had given Rs 5 billion to flood victims even though money was tight.
In an appeal to the wealthy, the prime minister said that they should help the government with its efforts to help the affected people get better. When the Ansar-e-Madina-like passion flared up again, the affected brothers, sisters, and children needed help.
The federal government had already declared a state of emergency in the areas hit by flooding. Also, the provincial governments were asked to declare them disaster-stricken areas so that relief and recovery efforts could move more quickly.
