Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Former interior minister says that the government’s plan is to disqualify Imran Khan and make Nawaz Sharif eligible. Awami Muslim League leader and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has warned the government again that trying to arrest Imran Khan or break up the PTI would lead to bloody politics in the country.
“There have been kidnappings and suicide attacks in the country.”
The former federal minister made the statement after the government filed references against the PTI chairman in cases about illegal funding and Toshakhana.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also looking into the illegal funding and has asked senior PTI leaders to come in and talk to them.
The government is putting more pressure on the PTI because of the ECP’s decision in the case of illegal funding and the smear campaign against the military in the wake of the Balochistan helicopter crash, in which six military members died.
In a series of tweets, Sheikh Rasheed warned the ruling alliance that the collapse of the economy, political instability, rising extortion, and acts of terrorism will kill their politics.
He also said that China likes Pakistan and that the country’s leaders should pay attention to what China is saying and not make Independence Day a day of destruction.
“Politics will get bloody if Imran Khan is arrested or if plans are made to break up the PTI.”
He said that their plan is to get Imran Khan kicked out and get Nawaz Sharif in.
