Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehbaz Gill, who was arrested in the case of inciting rebellion against institutions, filed a post-arrest bail application.
In the petition filed by Shehbaz Gill in the Sessions Court, it has been argued that the government filed a false case to settle scores with PTI.
It has been contended in the petition that a false FIR was lodged to achieve political objectives and therefore the post-arrest bail plea should be granted.
It may be recalled that Islamabad Police arrested PTI leader and Chief of Staff Imran Khan Shehbaz Gill on August 9 from Bani Gala Chowk.
Shahbaz Gill has 10 cases registered against him, including making inflammatory statements against institutions and inciting rebellion against their heads.
Yesterday, the court rejected the request of the police to extend the physical remand of Shehbaz Gill and ordered him to be sent to jail on judicial remand.
