Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The military’s media affairs wing said on Saturday that two terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal district.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) says that during the IBO, there was a heavy firefight between army troops and terrorists.

“As a result, two terrorists died, including Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group Commander Khabaib Alias Bilal.”

The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were also found at the site. They went on to say that terrorists were still planning terror attacks on security forces, making homemade bombs, and killing innocent people.

“Terrorist Commander Khabaib was also involved in an August 2022 suicide attack on a group of security forces in Mir Ali,” the statement said.

Last week, a soldier in the Pakistan Army died in Lower Dir as militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stepped up attacks on security forces.

Two army soldiers also died in Harnai, Balochistan, during a gun battle with terrorists on the same day.

The ISPR said that terrorists attacked a security post in the Khost area of Harnai late Saturday night. The soldiers were able to stop the attack, but two soldiers died in the exchange of fire.
