Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the ACCT Twenty20 Asia Cup and the home series against England.
The PCB Medical Advisory Committee and independent specialists recommended rest to the cricketer in the light of the latest scans and reports.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, the fast bowler of the national cricket team, has been advised to rest for four to six weeks.
Shaheen Afridi is likely to return to cricket for the T20 tri-series in New Zealand in October.
Shaheen Afridi’s replacement for the ACCT Twenty20 Asia Cup will be announced soon.
The Pakistan cricket team will leave for Dubai from Rotterdam on Monday for the Asia Cup.
It should be noted that Shaheen Afridi suffered a right knee injury in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.
