Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Friday that relief efforts for flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be stepped up right away. He was there to check on the situation and meet families who had been affected.

Along with K-P Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, the former prime minister visited flood-damaged areas in K-P, such as Tank and DI Khan, where he met with families who had been hurt by the disaster. During his trip to DI Khan, the head of the PTI told the media that the disaster was worse than the damage caused by the floods in Sindh in 2010.

“We used to think that the floods in 2010 were an unimaginable disaster, but reports say that the damage and loss of life this time are much worse,” he said.

According to PTI’s social media, Khan said that the governments of Punjab and K-P should help the flood victims right away and that they shouldn’t be picked on.
“I won’t leave the people alone during this hard time,” he said.

Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, and Mahmood Khan, the chief minister of KP, left for Dera Ismail Khan and Tank, two districts that have been flooded by rain, to meet with people who have been affected. The PTI said this on its official Twitter account.

In a later tweet, Imran was quoted as saying that the governments of Punjab and KP should help those affected by floods right away.
“Those affected by floods should get help regardless of who they are. I won’t leave the country when it’s in trouble,” Imran said, according to the tweet.
