Web Desk (LTN NEWS): When a player has been kicked off the team for bad play, a scandal, or bad behavior off the field, cricket becomes a lot easier all of a sudden. One person who fits this description is Ahmed Shehzad, who has been in trouble again.
Pakistan is playing Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2022. After beating Sri Lanka 58–5, they gave up all of the pressure they had built up. Rajapaksha saved them with an unbeaten 71 runs that helped the Lankas reach an impossible 171-run goal.
There was a chance to get rid of Rajapaksha while he was at bat. But when Shadab and Asif ran into each other, the ball went over the rope and made everyone laugh.
Ahmed Shehzad, a former opener, said something snarky about the situation on Twitter, which fans who were already angry about the dropped catch did not like.
“Boys, it’s as easy as saying “mera haiiiii” or “it’s miiiiiiiiine. This has happened more than once in this tournament,” Shehzad wrote.
Shehzad had a good point since this was the third time Pakistan had made the same mistake and no one had been hurt. However, his words would have been more convincing if he hadn’t made mistakes himself. Fans were more than happy to point out these mistakes.
