Web Desk (LTN NEWS): PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that the government would help pay for Panadol and Paracetamol so people could buy them.

PM Shehbaz was in charge of a Zoom meeting of the relevant government officials to check on the progress of flood relief and recovery efforts in areas of Pakistan that had been hit by floods.

In his speech, PM Shehbaz said that he had met with the president of the World Bank and the managing director of the International Monetary Fund today and talked in depth about the floods in Pakistan. They said they were sorry for the deaths and promised to help and support Pakistan in any way they could.

PM Shehbaz said that he had warned that millions of poor children were not getting enough food and could get sick with things like diarrhea.

Floods have caused a lot of damage, and the people of Pakistan don’t have enough money to deal with it on their own, he said. He asked the rest of the world, international organizations like the WB and IMF, and other friendly countries to help them and give the flood victims the relief they need.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, PM’s Advisor Ahad Cheema, and other high-level officers were at the meeting.

PM Shehbaz is in New York right now to take part in the high-level general debate of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA77), which will take place from September 20 to September 26.

PM Shehbaz looked at how food, tents, and medicines were being sent to the affected areas.

He told the people in charge to use all of their resources to get essential food, especially baby food, to the affected areas as quickly as possible.

PM Shehbaz also took a look at how roads, rails, bridges, and other infrastructure were being fixed after they were damaged by the floods. He told the federal and provincial departments in charge of fixing them to speed up their work so that they could be used as soon as possible.

PM Shehbaz also told Ahsan Iqbal that he was glad that the Islamabad High Court had found him not guilty in a NAB case.

PM Shehbaz said it was good news and regretted that the previous government had gone after its opponents with witch hunts and tried to frame them in false cases in an awkward way.
