ISLAMABAD (LTN News): On Wednesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that Sindh and Karachi will get more rain over the next two to three days.

In the weather report for Karachi, the PMD said that the city’s lowest temperature would stay between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius for the next three days, while its highest temperature would be between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius.

The PMD said that the weather in the city would stay cloudy and rainy today. It said that Karachi would have partly cloudy weather on Thursday and Friday, July and that there was a chance of light rain on those days.

It did warn that the persistent rain over Khuzdar, Lasbela Hub, and along the Kirthar Range could put pressure on the Hub Dam and cause flash floods in Jamshoro and Dadu.

Today is the fourth day in a row that it has rained, and it has caused a lot of damage to the country’s financial capital. Several people have died, and many places are flooded.

At least eight people died in Sindh on Tuesday because of the rain, and five of them died in Karachi. On Wednesday, two more deaths were linked to the rain, bringing this week’s total to seven in Karachi and 10 overall.

Police in Karachi said that a 42-year-old man was killed by electricity in his home in the Jubilee Chowk area of the city.

In a separate case, the body of a man between 30 and 32 years old who had drowned was found in the Lyari stream, the statement said.

Earlier, a man and his two young sons died in Sindh’s Khairpur district, and his wife and two daughters were seriously hurt when the roof of their house collapsed during heavy rain in the Gambat area near Ranipur late on Monday night.

Five people died in Karachi, where parts of the city are still flooded with sewage-tainted rainwater for the third day in a row.

Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar-Shahdadkot, and other nearby towns were also flooded by heavy rains.

Separately, at least 300 people, including women and children, were waiting to be rescued in the Oraki region of the Lasbela district on Tuesday. This was because floods had destroyed the mud houses in the area’s villages, forcing people to live outside.

Even though 24 hours had passed, the local government still wasn’t able to help the people who were stuck and said to be running out of food and clean water.

The PMD also said that there will be more rain all over the country starting on July 27 (today). This will be caused by “monsoon currents,” which are expected to get stronger in the upper and central parts of the country.

The Met Office said that the weather system will last until July 31.

During the forecast period, the Met office said that heavy rains could cause flooding in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Faisalabad, Lahore, and Gujranwala.

Local nullahs in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Shakargarh, Sialkot, Narowal, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Dir, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Kashmir are also likely to flood quickly.

The PMD also said that there could be landslides in the last four days of the month in Kashmir, Galiyat, Murree, Chinas, Diamir, Gilgit, Hunza, Astore, Ghizer, and Skardu.
