No army chief, just merit: Imran Khan at a party meeting

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, told Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at a party meeting in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Sunday that he needs merit, not an army chief.

Khan’s comments were a response to what FM Bilawal had said, which was that the PTI leader wanted to choose the army chief.

During his speech, Imran Khan also criticized PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, saying that she can’t tell the truth.

“Maryam Nawaz wants to buy power plant equipment from India, but our government stopped doing business with India because it broke international laws and got rid of Kashmiris’ special status,” Khan said, adding that it was corruption to use your position in the government for personal gain.

“Pakistan’s debt went up every time these people were in charge,” he said.

In his criticism of the PML-N, Imran khan also said that Nawaz Sharif’s sons live in homes worth billions of dollars, in parts of London where not even the British prime minister can afford to live.

“Hassan Nawaz lives in a house worth Rs10 billion. Khan said, “When asked where he got the money to buy the house, he won’t answer because he’s not Pakistani.”

Khan also said that Ishaq Dar, the leader of the PML-N and a former finance minister, and his sons live abroad and only want to be in power to make money.

He also talked about how Pakistan has borrowed money to get by.

“Pakistan has been getting help for the last 40 years. He said, “India and Bangladesh are ahead of us.”
