Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Friday, it was revealed that some rowdy fans who fought with each other in the stands at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium during Asia Cup match between Pak and Afg were fined AED3,000. In the Super Four round of the tournament, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by one wicket and earned a spot in the final. ICC also take action.
In Pakistani rupees, this amount is worth about Rs200,000. The police have told those who were fined that if this kind of violence happens again, they could go to jail or be sent away.
Pakistan was about to lose, but Naseem Shah hit two sixes on the first two balls of the last over. This saved their game.
The win by one wicket means that Pakistan will play Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final. Fans who seemed to be rooting for Afghanistan were angry about how the game turned out.
Some people were seen on video pulling out bucket seats and throwing them at people who were thought to be Pakistani fans. There was a lot of damage to the stands, especially to the cushioned seats, which were torn up.

A day earlier, UAE officials said that they would keep a close eye on spectators and take harsh action against anyone who caused damage to the venue or hurt other spectators.
Sources say that the PCB has decided to bring the issue up with both the International Cricket Council and the Asian Cricket Council.
Ramiz Raja, chairman of the PCB, told the media, “You can’t link hooliganism with cricket, and this environment makes you sick. We will write to the ICC, express our concerns, and do everything we can because the images were horrible.”
“This [crowd trouble after a game between Afghanistan and Pakistan] has happened before. It’s part of the game to win and lose. It was a tough competition, but everyone should have kept their emotions in check. As a country that plays cricket, you can’t grow and move forward until the environment is right.”
“We owe it to our fans, anything could have happened… Our team might have been in danger… So whatever the policy is we will follow it and lodge our objection,” the squad said.
The argument between Afghanistan bowler Fareed Ahmad and Pakistani batter Asif Ali, whom Ahmad had just sent out, is thought to have started the fight.
Fareed threw punches into the air to celebrate the wicket, and Asif could see that they were very close to his face. Asif then pushed Fareed back and brought his bat close to the pacer’s face.
Words were said between them before Azmatullah Umarzai of Afghanistan and Hasan Ali of Pakistan stepped in to calm things down.
Both have been punished for breaking Level 1 of the Code of Conduct of ICC.
