Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Asif Ali, a batter for Pakistan, and Fareed Ahmad, a fast bowler for Afghanistan, got into a fight on the field after Ali was out in the 19th over.
The fight between the two cricketers started when Fareed Ahmad made fun of Asif Ali when he was out of the game.
Asif Ali had already hit two sixes, one of which was on a ball from Fareed Ahmad.
Netizens aren’t sure what happened between the two players, but they have a lot of ideas.
Ali is seen getting angry at the Afghan cricketer in a video that has since gone viral. He then raises his bat in the air, as if trying to hit the pacer with it.
Soon after that, players from both Afghanistan and Pakistan, like Azmatullah Umarzai and Hasan Ali, stepped in to stop the fight.
As Asif Ali walked toward the Pavillion, the Afghan player Fazalhaq Farooqi also made a joke at him in the heat of the moment.
Even though Pakistan beat Afghanistan, many people are still talking about how “unfortunate” what happened on the field was.
