Parvez tells Mianwali govt to stay on high alert

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Mr. Elahi told the people in charge to get ready for anything bad that could happen. He said that all resources should be used to get people out of the area as soon as possible. He told the government to make sure there were enough medicines, clean water, food for the animals, and other things that were needed. He also said that the flow of the Indus River should be watched around the clock.

The chief minister also told the right people to go to the site and check the river dykes and safety gates. He said that the boats, dewatering sets, and other tools should continue to work.

The head of the PTI, Imran Khan, has proposed holding an International Telethon to help those affected by the floods. The chief minister has said that he supports this idea. He hoped that the money and supplies raised by the telethon would help the poor people of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab a lot.

The chief minister said that everyone who was affected by the floods should get help. He asked the generous people to send their donations to the relief funds set up by the Punjab and KP chief ministers.

The chief minister met with a group led by the president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nauman Kabir. On behalf of the LCCI, Kabir gave the chief minister a check for Rs10 million for the CM Relief Fund.

The chief minister was glad that the people in charge of LCCI were willing to help those who had been hurt by the flood. He said that the business people and industrialists had always done what they were supposed to do in hard or emergency situations.

The chief minister said that parking lots would be built near Lahore’s well-known business districts. A plan was made to build a parking plaza at Anarkali to make things easier for the traders and the people who shop there. He also said that a desk for keeping track of revenue would be set up to help the traders and industrialists at the LCCI.

Nauman Kabir asked the chief minister to be the most important guest at the Export Trophy Award ceremony, and the chief minister accepted.

Chief Minister’s Information Advisor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema says that the city of Taunsa has been safe because the Punjab government took action quickly.

Cheema told the media that good rescue and relief efforts had been made to deal with the flood after he went to the PDMA Control Room on Sunday. He said that people were protesting because electricity and fuel prices were too high in Punjab. He also said that people were not protesting because of the floods in Punjab.

Cheema said that it would take the incompetent federal government one month to realize how bad the flood was.
