Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The song “Pasoori” by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill has found a new home in Africa. The song, which was already a huge hit in India and other places, has once again crossed borders.
Thursday, Coke Studio Africa released a remixed version of the single. With the help of Nigerian Afrobeats artists Marwan Moussa and Reekado Banks, along with Sethi, it has given the already catchy beat a unique African touch, creating a unique mix of genres and cultures.
The ‘Rung’ singer sings parts of the original song’s lyrics at the beginning and end of the song. In the middle, rapper Moussa and singer Banks added Egyptian and trap elements to make a whole new mix. Even if you don’t understand the words, you will definitely know the tune and vibe of this fusion.
Sethi shared the remix on Instagram. He was so happy to see his “little tune” turned into “a whole new song” that he couldn’t find the words to describe it.
Since “Pasoori” came out in February, no one has slept a wink. It has become something of a global phenomenon because it has broken records and made waves all over the world. It keeps getting more and more popular, with over 330 million views on YouTube alone. It was also in Ms. Marvel, which was the first Marvel show to have a character from Pakistan.
This is the sixth song from Coke Studio’s 14th season. It was written by Sethi and Fazal Abbas, and Sethi and Zulfiqar J. Khan, better known as Xulfi, worked together to make the music for it. Abdullah Siddiqui and Xulfi have been in charge of making the music.
