Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi met with PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Monday. He told Khan and other PTI leaders that everything will be done to protect them. He says that Imran Khan’s safety will be taken care of.
The meeting took place at the Banigala home of the PTI chairman in Islamabad, where Moonis Elahi, a former federal minister, was also present.
There were different stories about where Khan was after arrest warrants were issued for him in a terrorism case for threatening top police officials and a female judge.
During the meeting, Elahi talked about how worried he was about the political situation in the country after Imran Khan and other PTI leaders were charged with multiple crimes.
“The Punjab government is with PTI no matter what,” Elahi told Khan as he went to Banigala to show his support for the PTI chairman.
Elahi said that everything will be done to make sure Imran Khan and other leaders are safe.
Khan was told about the political and administrative situation in Punjab by the CM of Punjab.
Khan told the Punjab government to work on projects that help the public.
“Imran Khan will not be arrested because of PTI.”
At the same time, the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were at a meeting of the PTI parliamentary party today at the Banigala.
Sources say that the PTI will not let Khan be arrested because the charges against its chairman are wrong.
“At the meeting, Elahi said that the Punjab government would be the hardest thing to do to get him arrested.”
Moonis said that Khan doesn’t need to be protected by the Islamabad Police, and sources said that he will be protected by the Punjab Police.
